Introduction
Mahamandir in Jodhpur is a structural delight-majestic, tall and admirably standing on 84 pillars. Embellished with beautiful carvings of different yogic postures on the walls, the temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. It was constructed in the year 1812.
Located at a distance of about 2 kilometers from Jodhpur, on the main road to Mandore, the temple also houses a number of ancient shrines as well as numerous artistic motifs and attractive stonework that enhances its beauty manifold.
The temple is fairly popular with Shiva devotees, national and international tourists as well as photographers, both amateur and professional. It remains open on all the days of the week.
