One of the largest and oldest tea merchants in Darjeeling, Nathmulls Tea was established in the year 1931 and gradually became one of the most popular tea outlets from the region selling Darjeeling teas. Nathmulls Tea Room assorts nearly 25 different varieties of teas picked from their notable and carefully cultivated plantations and is by far the largest collection of teas under one roof. Nathmulls Tea Room is located at the famous Laden-La road, which is a prime location and is situated just opposite the State bank of India. There are a variety of different tea types up on display and their price range from around 300 INR per kg to a whopping 30,000 INR per kg. Besides, store also has a number of tea accessories like pots and cups available in both metallic and ceramic as well as beautiful and exquisite tea cozies of different type. After 1968, the reigns of the company was transferred to Mr. Vijay Sarda, who quickly recognized the potential of the business and began to concentrate upon and expand the enterprise. Soon the clientele grew and assisted by the other family members, the company was diversified into an International Mail Order, which is a unique business concept, achieved by the sheer hard work and dedication of the firm members. Today, Nathmulls Tea Room boasts of a varied global clients across Europe, Canada, USA, U.K, Japan and Canada etc. and is probably the only one enterprise which has successfully developed the idea of Mail Order at an international scale.
