Also known as Solang Nala, it is a high altitude valley that lies at the top of Kullu in the Himachal Pradesh state of India. The region is 14 km northwest to the very popular hillstationof Manali. Skiing lovers have to wait little more than October, as the region starts receiving the best snowfall of the season from the month of January. Temperature then drops below the freezing point and the mountains get covered in a thick blanket of snow.
