The Sai Baba Ashram in Bangalore is located near the Whitefield Railway Station, thus it is also called the Whitefield Ashram. The Ashram, also known by the name of Brindavan Ashram, was established by Sri Sathya Sai Baba on 25th June, 1960. This was the summer home of Baba, who used to spend three months of the year here.
Attracting a large number of devotees from around the world, the Ashram is an abode of peace and spirituality and is located away from the noise and pollution of the city to aid the divinity of the ashram and faith of the devotees.
Sai Baba Ashram has a sprawling campus and is situated approximately 24 kilometers from the city-center of Bangalore. There are no steps or stairs in the ashram, except in the accommodation quarters. The Ashram is adorned with the following structures used for different purposes.
Trayee Brindavan
The place was used by Sathya Sai Baba as his residence whenever he used to visit the ashram. The site is a wonderful structure, built in the form of a lotus and is decorated with yellow and pink colors.
Sai Ramesh Krishan Hall
The hall is a place where the Baba used to meet his devotees. Housing a beautiful structure of Lord Krishna, devotees gather here to sing devotional songs which create a unique spiritual atmosphere. The hall has a total seating capacity of 6,000.
Brindavan Campus
Brindavan Campus occupies the campus of Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning. The ashram also contains a hostel for the students studying in the institute.
Sai Krishan Kalyana Mandapam
The Mandapam is a colossal auditorium used for the purpose of organizing conferences and cultural programs.
Facilities, Services and Rules at the Ashram

The Ashram provide accommodation on the first come first serve basis

The accommodation cannot be reserved beforehand, rooms are provided to the visitors only upon reaching the Ashram premises.

Indian National are required to produce a valid identity proof while foreign nationals need to carry their passport and other important documents related to visa with them in order to get accommodation.

There are two types of accommodation: Dormitories inside the ashram and rooms at Gokulam. Visitors can avail the accommodation for a period of 3-4 weeks.

Rooms are furnished and have toilet, shower and vanity.

Laundry facility is available, both at the ashram and at the Golukum.

Canteens are available inside the Ashram. The one located within Gokulum serve Indian dishes while the one at the Ashram provide western style food.

The facility of Wheelchair is available at the Dormitory Accommodation Office located within the Ashram premises.

A shopping store is located inside the Ashram that sell items of daily necessities, souvenirs, cassette and CD’s.

How to Reach
The Ashram is easily accessible by air, rail and air. The nearest airport to reach Sai Baba Ashram is Bangalore International airport while Whitefield Railway Station is the nearest Railhead. There are frequent cabs, taxis and buses to take visitors from the airports, stations and other destinations to ashram.
