Situated in the holy land of Haridwar which has been one of the most popular retreats for saints, sages and renunciates since thousands of years, the Prem Nagar Ashram is a manifestation of serenity. The ashram was established by Shri Hans Raj Ji Maharaj and was further developed by Jagat Janani Shri Mata Ji and Shri Satpal Ji Maharaj. Built upon the dream of Shri Hans Raj Ji Maharaj, who envisioned a great satsang hall, enshrined with the quotations of all the leading saints and spiritual souls of India, the Prem Nagar Ashram is often called the labor of love of all devotees who participated in its construction.
The Ashram is located about 3 kilometers from the main town of Haridwar, between Jwalapur and Kankhal and is aimed for a higher spiritual knowledge and a life of service for anyone who enters its doors. Today the Ashram has grown into a major center with more than 800 rooms to serve a chance for a large number of devotees to participate in this transcendental sacrifice.
Prem Nagar Ashram is surrounded by wonderful gardens which further enhance its beauty and provide a perfect complement to the amazing spiritual environment of the place. Bedecked with more than 250 varieties of flowers and a number of trees, the gardens are a great place to practice meditation and contemplation. Besides the sounds of various nearby temple bells as well chanting and playing of spiritual songs and hymns make the aura of the Ashram all the more divine.
