Fly to Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport in Kolkata. Our executive will pick you up and transfer you to the hotel. Kolkata, also known as the 'City of Joy' is known for its arts, culture, moments, food, and much more.
On arrival at the hotel, check-in and unwind. Spend a comfortable night at the hotel.
Post a scrumptious breakfast, proceed for the Kolkata sightseeing tour. It will cover the most known attractions of Kolkata city like Birla Planetarium and Victoria Memorial. You will also drive past Fort Williams, the Howrah Bridge, Old Court House Street, and the Secretariat Building. Once the tour ends, come back to the hotel for an overnight stay.
In the morning, have your breakfast and check out. Catch a flight from Kolkata to Dibrugarh. On arrival, get transferred to a Heritage Tea Bungalow. In the afternoon, go for a Tea Appreciation tour to the Jalannagar South Tea Estate. Once the tour completes, return to the stay for a relaxing sleep.
On day 4 of your North East India Sojourn, proceed for a day excursion to Saikhowa National Park (2 hours drive). It is an area of grassland and swamp first located between the mighty Brahmaputra and Dibru Rivers in eastern Assam. Bird watchers must come to this national park to witness birds like Black-breasted Parrotbill, Jerdon's Babbler, and Marsh Babbler. Afterward, visit Borajan and look for Hullock Gibbons. Drive back to the hotel and slide under the sheets for a restful sleep.
After breakfast, leave Dibrugarh and proceed towards Jorhat by road (4 hours drive). Once reached, check into the Heritage Tea Bungalow and rest. As the sun goes down, explore the historic town including palaces, temples, monuments, and more. Come back to the hotel for an overnight stay.
After a delicious breakfast, check out from the hotel and leave for Kaziranga (3 hours drive). It is one of the finest wildlife refuges in southern Asia and has the world's largest population of one-horned rhinos. On arrival, you will check in at the wildlife resort and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay in Kaziranga.
Wake up early for an elephant safari. Enjoy observing the animals in their natural habitat. Come back to the resort for breakfast. Freshen up and in the afternoon, again go for jeep safari. Overnights stay in Kaziranga.
Have breakfast and say goodbye to Kaziranga National Park. Proceed towards Guwahati, the capital city of Assam by road (4 hours drive). Once reached, check-in at the hotel and rest. In the evening, you will visit Sualkuchi Village (32 km from Guwahati). It is known for its unique silk variety called Golden Muga Silk. After the tour, come back to the hotel for an overnight stay.
On day 9 of your 13 Day Trip to North-East India, wake up, have breakfast, and depart for Darjeeling by flight. On arrival at Bagdogra Airport, our executive will pick you up and transfer you to the hotel. Check-in at the hotel and spend the day at leisure. Overnight stay in Darjeeling.
Wake up early in the morning and visit Tiger Hill. Witness astounding views of the snow-clad peaks and also visit Batasia Loop and Ghoom Monastery on your way back to the hotel. Savor a tasty breakfast and then, move towards the Himalayan Zoological Garden. The Darjeeling tour will also cover Snow Leopard Breeding Center, Himalayan Mountaineering Institute and Tibetan Refugees self-help center. Come back to the hotel after the tour and sleep.
Post breakfast, drive from Darjeeling to Gangtok by road. Once arrived, check-in at the hotel and rest. Later, visit Rumtek Monastery, Tashi Viewpoint, and Namgyal Institute of Tibetology Studies. Once the tour ends, return to the hotel for a restful sleep.
After breakfast, you will visit Phodong and Labrang Monastery. Come to the hotel and spend the evening at leisure. You can explore the local market and buy yourself souvenirs. Overnight stay in Gangtok.
