Location
In the wondrous state of West Bengal in the district of South 24 Parganas lies the spectacular spot of Diamond Harbor at the mouth of the river Hooghly.
The holiday destination of Diamond Harbor is at a distance of forty-eight kilometers from the Kolkotta in the south direction. The diamond Harbor was named so by the British or rather renamed as Diamond Harbor by them as earlier the spot known as Hajipur. The harbor is a turning point for the distributary of the Holy Ganges. The river Hooghly turns towards the south into the Bay of Bengal. Owing to this the river area gets deeper and wider. Thus the big ships comfortably dock at the Diamond harbor.
