Itinerary - Chardham Yatra from Mumbai

Day 1 - Mumbai - Delhi (by Train/Flight)

Your Chardham Yatra starts from Mumbai. From Mumbai, you can take an overnight train to Delhi or you can board your flight to Delhi. On arrival at Delhi Airport or the railway station, meet and greet our IHPL representatives at the airport or station. Our representative will take you to the hotel. Check-in to the hotel and relax.

Day 2 - Drive from Delhi to Haridwar

At the beginning of the second day of your Char Dham Yatra from Mumbai, enjoy your breakfast and check out from the hotel and proceed for an assisted drive to Haridwar via road. On reaching the hilly expanses, check-in to the pre-booked hotel and take some refreshments, and wipe the journey fatigue.

Based on the grand Shivalikas of Haridwar, which means entry into the kingdom of God is a wonderful gateway to the majestic Ganges. It is considered one of the seven holiest cities in India. It is surrounded by temples and ashrams across the city. It is the same place where the great Suryavanshi prince Bhagiratha made serious remorse to reclaim the souls of his ancestors who were cursed by the great sage Kapila. Following this practice of Bhagiratha, followers and pilgrims pray for the salvation of their ancestors in the holy waters of the Ganges.

Later, in the evening, attend the wonderful Ganga Aarti at Har ki Pauri. Admire the beauty of thousands of floating earthen lamps and unwind at the peaceful atmosphere. After the aarti get back to the hotel and enjoy dinner and get over the journey fatigue with a refreshing sleep at the hotel.

Day 3 - Trip Haridwar – Barkot / Kharsali

Start your day with a healthy breakfast and barcoat / kharsali through Dehradun and Mussoorie. En route to Mussoorie, one can see an area surrounded by spectacular Kempty Falls and high mountain ranges. Kempty Falls offers an enchanting panoramic view in the form of a waterfall from the mountains. Go ahead with your journey and mold yourself into a relaxed atmosphere.

Upon reaching Barkot / Kharsali, check-in at the hotel, and the rest of the day is at your leisure. Enjoy dinner and stay overnight in Barcoat / Kharsali. Later, on your comfortable bed for a restful sleep.

Day 4 - Barkot / Kharsali – Yamunotri – Barkot / Kharsali

Checkout from the hotel the next morning after toothsome breakfast. You can trek up to 5 kilometers and either walk or hire horses or sedan/dolly at your own cost. Arrangements can be made based on direct payment to the hotel upon giving information 2 days before your trek.

Barkot is the base of the mountain trek to Yamunotri. After the Yamunotri trek, take a bath with hot water of Jamunabai Kund. The most notable of these is the Surya Kund where you can cook rice in the Himalayan springs and pilgrims can take this cooked rice home as prasadam. After that, see the divine rock, where you have gone through thermal water.

The rock pillar is being worshiped before entering the temple. The main attraction in Yamunotri is the temple dedicated to Goddess Yamuna. It stands proudly with its vast mountain peaks and Yamuna waters. It was built by Maharani Guleria of Jaipur in the 19th century and was demolished and rebuilt twice in the current century. You can offer your prayers and take the blessings of Almighty Goddess Yamuna.

After Darshan, make your way to the downhill. Return to Barkot / Kharsali for dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 5 - Barkot / Kharsali – Uttarkashi

Start the day with a hearty breakfast. Check-out of your hotel and proceed to drive to Uttarkashi. Upon arrival at Uttarkashi check in to the hotel here. The evening is free for you to indulge in leisure activities.

Uttarkashi is situated on the banks of the river Bhagirathi. The temple of Lord Vishwanath is one of the oldest Shiva temples in northern India. It is located in the center of the city, where a huge iron trident has been constructed. Visit the temple for blessings. Return to the hotel for dinner. After dinner, in his comfortable bed in Uttarkashi for a restful sleep.

Day 6 - Uttarkashi – Gangotri – Uttarkashi

Greet the early morning sun and enjoy your delicious breakfast. Start your trip to Gangotri, situated at a height of 3,100 m above sea level. Heading towards your journey, enjoy the beautiful Harsil valley. Harsil is famous for its natural beauty and the splendid views of the forest and mountains. The view of the winding Bhagirathi River and magnificent views of the Himalayas.

According to Hindu mythology, Goddess Ganga descended when Lord Shiva left the mighty river with the locks of her hair. To mitigate the effects of his fierce flow, Lord Shiva received the river Ganges in the locks of his thick hair. The original Gangotri temple is an old 18th-century temple built of white marble on the banks of the river Bhagirathi. Produced by Nepali Gorkha General Amar Singh Thapa. The temple is dedicated to the Goddess River and the sacred river originates at Gaumukh situated in the Gangotri Glacier. It is famous for its ancient temples and religious significance.

Pay worship to Kedar Ganga Sangam, which is about 100 Yards from the Ganga Temple. Kedar Ganga flows from the Kedar Valley and meets the Bhagirathi River on its left array. After Gangotri Darshan, priced for the drive back and will bring you back to the hotel in Uttarkashi. Savor a delicious dinner and enjoy a restful sleep.

Day 7 - A trip to Uttarkashi – Guptkashi

The next morning checkout from the hotel after having a toothsome breakfast. you will drive straight to Guptkashi. During the journey, admire the magnificent views of the river Mandakini at Tilwara, which starts in Kedarnath. On the way, you will be able to enjoy the amazing view of the confluence of rivers Alaknanda and Mandakini at Rudraprayag. Upon arrival in Guptkashi, check-in at the hotel and rest for a while. Further, proceed for Kedarnath Pre-registration.

The name Gupt Kashi means "Hidden Banaras", a fairly large city located at an altitude of 1,319 meters above sea level. It is famous for its ancient Vishwanath temple which is dedicated to Lord Shiva. The popularly described legend states that Lord Shiva was disguised by the Pandava brothers who were looking for the blessings of Lord Shiva. The valley has an aromatic climate with large magnolia trees giving the place a sweet fragrant atmosphere. Visit and receive the blessings of the Lord. Enjoy delicious food and stay overnight in Guptkashi.

Day 8 - Guptkashi – Sonprayag – Kedarnath (30 Kms +20 Km Trek)

Greet the next day with a sumptuous breakfast and head towards Sonprayag. Upon arriving at Gaurikund you can start your trek to Kedarnath. It is the base of a trek to Kedarnath.

The mountain is home to Lord Shiva and is situated at an elevation of 3584 meters. You will walk your journey on foot or you can rent a pony/dolly at your own cost. Kedarnath temple is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva and is thrilled by thousands of tourists every year. It is a scenic spot located against the backdrop of the grand Kedarnath ranges.

According to the legend, the temple got its name from a legend in the Mahabharata. Pandavas after winning the Kauravas in the Kurukshetra war. As he felt guilty of killing his brothers and hunted for the blessings of Lord Shiva for redemption. Lord Shiva survived them and took refuge in Kedarnath in the form of a bull. In existence, he dived into the ground and left his bulge on the surface. Kedarnath is a divine place where you can get the salvation of your souls.

Upon your arrival at Kedarnath, check-in the government camps. And then head for the Darshan at the temple. After your wonderful Darshan of Kedarnath, return to the hotel for rest and overnight stay. Relish your warm dinner and night halt at Kedarnath. Get over the journey fatigue with a refreshing sleep at the hotel.

Day 9 - Kedarnath – Sonprayag – Guptkashi

After having a toothsome breakfast, Be ready for an early morning Darshan of Kedarnath Temple. Before 4:45 A.M take shower and reach the temple for the Abhishek ritual of the Lord. Do your puja and take blessings. After Darshan, walk down to Sonprayag. Later, you will drive for Guptkashi. The primeval town of Guptkashi is nestled in the magnificent Garhwal Himalayas.

Check-into the hotel and enjoy your stay. The rest of the day is at leisure; you can spend time in the hotel room or you are free to explore the beauty of the surroundings. Enjoy dinner and overnight stay at Guptkashi.

Day 10 - Guptkashi – Joshimath – Badrinath

Kickstart your day with an early morning breakfast. Checkout from the hotel and drive from Badrinath to Joshimath. Enjoy the attractive sceneries here. Badrinath is one of the four sites and one of the most famous pilgrimage places in the country and is situated at an altitude of 3,133 meters and provides a wonderful backdrop. Because the land is decorated with wild berries, the place got the name "Badri van" which means the forest of berries.

Upon arrival, check-into the hotel for rest and after refreshing yourself. Later in the evening visit Badrinath Temple for beautiful aarti. Before entering the holy place of Lord Vishnu, cleanse yourselves with a dip in the Tapt Kund. It is the natural warm spring on the bank of the river Alaknanda offers water with medicinal properties.

After enjoying the bliss of Badrinarayan Darshan, return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay at Badrinath. After an amazing day, return to the hotel for a sound sleep.

Day 11 - Badrinath – Joshimath – Rudraprayag

Greet the early morning sun in the early morning, indeed, the favored amongst us can enjoy the divine morning Pooja of Badrinarayan. Pilgrims have to take a holy dip in the water of Tapt Kund before worshipping at Badrinath Temple.

The Badrinath temple is considered prominent among Vishnu temples all over the world. Skanda Purana is the highest place among all Vishnu temples in the universe. According to the epic Mahabharata, Badrinath is the place where the dual forms of Vishnu are mediated by Nara and Narayana. It is also believed that the Pandavas passed through Badrinath on the way to heaven.

The Brahma Kapal at Badrinath is a notable place for Hindus. On the flat platform on the banks of the Alaknanda River, Hindus pay homage to the dead souls of their ancestors. After darshan, get ready for sightseeing. Visit Maan Village which is the last Indian village and if time permits Badrinath has one of the best tourist attractions. Later drive back to Rudraprayag via Joshimath. Check into the hotel and enjoy dinner and an overnight stay is arranged here at Rudraprayag.

Day 12 - Rudraprayag – Rishikesh – Haridwar

Wake up to an appetizing breakfast and drive to Haridwar. On the way, you will get an opportunity to soak in the magic of Rishikesh. The place is surrounded by the Shivalik range of the Himalayas on the three sides and a renowned spiritual town on the bank of river Ganga. It is called “the place of sages”. This holy town is known as the Yoga capital of the world. Explore some popular attractions in the city. You can visit Laxman Jhula, Ram Jhula, Sivananda Ashram, Bharat Mandir and Triveni Ghat. In the evening attend the glorifying Ganga Aarti at Parmarth Ashram. Enjoy the heavenly joys of observing Ganga aarti before leaving towards Haridwar. Drive to Haridwar. Enjoy the dinner and overnight stay at the hotel in Haridwar.

Day 13 - The Tour Concludes, Haridwar – Mumbai Departure
