In 2021, the government permitted limited pilgrims to visit Chardham due to Covid. However, in 2024, there will be no restrictions to visiting Kedarnath Temple.
Before visiting, keep these things in mind –
- A general permit will still be required to commence on Kedarnath Yatra.
- There will be no limitations on the number of pilgrims.
- A fitness check from medical centers at Guptkashi and Sonaprayag will be required.
- The authorities will check your blood pressure and symptoms for other diseases in the past.
- A medical certificate will be issued in your name if you are fit to go further
Kedarnath Temple Closing Date
Kedarnath Temple Closing Date: 3rd November 2024 (tentative). The closing date is always the same because the gates of Kedarnath Temple close on the eve of Bhai Dooj, which will fall on 26th October this year.
