Shanti Kunj Ashram Haridwar

A world renowned Ashram and headquarters of the All World Gayatri Power, AWGP, the Shanti Kunj Ashram, as its name suggests, is a home of peace, spirituality and knowledge. The Ashram was established by Pandit Shriram Sharma Acharya in 1971 to furnish a unique abode for the spiritual seekers coming to Haridwar. Overtime, the Ashram has emerged into an excellent epicenter for the moral and spiritual regeneration of devotees coming from far and wide.

The essential aim of the Shanti Kunj Ashram is to awaken the ethical, moral, cultural and spiritual values of the people as well to provide an impetus for national integration and a sense of duty towards the country. The Ashram offer spiritual teachings and moral education and training intended to make guests, better and spiritually awakened citizens of the world.

Shanti Kunj Ashram has a research institute by the name of Brahmavachas Shodh Sansthan and Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya, a residential university within the campus. It is also engaged in the service of the society by offering free Ayurvedic treatment for the poor and needy people.

Room Facilities and Services

• A maximum of two days stay is permitted for the visitors who are required to enjoin in all the daily activities.
• The arrangement for the stay is free of cost and there is no need for a prior reservation.
• The Ashram has the facility of both single and double rooms.
• Only Vegetarian meals are provided to the guests
• All the rooms are furnished and have basic amenities. 

Activities

• Bhajans and Kirtans are organized every day in the Ashram.
• The Ashram provide the study of the Bhagvad Gita, Upanishads, Hindi and Sanskrit languages.
• The Ashram also organize public marriages.
• Special arrangements are organized to celebrate Gayatri Jayanti.

How to Reach

Shanti Kunj Ashram is located at a distance of 6 kilometers from the Haridwar Railway Station which is the nearest railhead while the nearest airport is Jolly Grant Airport, which is located at a distance of 30 kilometers from the Ashram. Taxis, Cabs and buses are available from the station and the airport to take the guests to the Ashram.
