Day 01: Arrive Bangalore

On your arrival at Bangalore airport you will be received and welcomed by our reprensentative and escorted to the hotel. Spend the day getting over your jet lag or if you are of the energetic sort you are free to explore the city on your own.

Day 02: Bangalore-Hassan, 180 km

After an early breakfast we drive to Hassan visiting Sravanbelgola on the way. It is one of the most important Jain pilgrimages in the country and here you will find the huge monolith statue of Gomateshwara atop Indragiri Hills which is regarded as the tallest Jain art in the world.

Day 03: Hassan

After breakfast we make for the Hoysala temples, Belur and Halebid Temples. With some of the most intricate carvings of the Hoysalas, Belur and Halebid boast sculptures and structures typical yet distinctive, reminiscent of the grandeur of an ancient royal civilization. We visit the Chennakeshava temple at Belur which is dedicated Lord Krishna. At Halebid we will visit The Shiva Temple which is famous for the gigantic structure of Nandi.

Day 04: Hassan-Mysore, 155 km

In the morning we drive to Mysore. On a sightseeing tour of the city, you visit the Mysore Palace, and behold the beauty of the Chamundi Hills, St Philomena's Church, Zoological gardens.

Day 05: Mysore

In the morning today we start for Somnathpur a tiny village on the banks of the Kaveri, 140 kms, south-west of Bangalore. Here in this everlasting rural stillness, like a milestone to eternity, stood one of the last and the grandest of Hoysala monuments - the Kesava Temple built 740 years ago. The temple dedicated to dedicated to Prasanna Chennakeshava is one of the best specimens of the amazingly intricate temple carving tradition pioneered by the Hoysalas. This temple also like that of Belur and Halebid temples has a star shaped plan. The afternoon is free for you to spend it the way you like most. Shop for traditional trinkets or simply loiter around.

Day 06: Mysore-Bangalore , 128 km

After breakfast at the hotel we drive to Bangalore while visiting Srirangapatna on our way, which was the second capital of Tipu Sultan. At Srirangapatna we visit the Ranganathaswamy temple, dedicated to Lord Vishnu.

In the afternoon enjoy a sightseeing tour of Bangalore, the Garden City with visit to Lal Bagh, Cubbon Park, Bangalore Fort, Tipu Sultan's Palace .In the evening we arrange your transfer to airport for your onward destination or flight back home with sweet memories of the Hoysala Temples Tour.
