The Maharaja Retreat Tour - Day 01
Once you reach Delhi, India the India tourist and tour guide receives you and drives you to the hotel where lovely ladies draped in colorful saris give you a warm welcome with the traditional method of anointing your forehead with vermilion paste. Then you check in to the hotel and are offered a complementary non-alcoholic drink. You are free to spend the rest of the day at leisure. You stay overnight at the hotel.
The Maharaja Retreat Tour - Day 02
On the 2nd day the tour package includes a daylong tour to the tourist destinations in Delhi, India. You visit the Humayun's Tomb, Qutub Minar, the India Gate and buildings like the Rashtrapati Bhawan and the Parliament House. You come back to the hotel and have lunch after which you are free to spend the entire day on your own. You'll be fascinated by the perfect blend of tradition, culture, rapid urbanization and modernization in this capital state of India. You stay overnight at the hotel.
The Maharaja Retreat Tour - Day 03
On the 3rd day the tour package includes a drive to Agra
in Uttar Pradesh, India. On the way the India tourist and tour guide ensures that you do no miss a tour of the ancient and deserted town of Fatehpur Sikri. Once you reach Agra you check in to the hotel. You are free to rest during the morning hours. In the afternoon once you have had your lunch the India tourist and tour guide arranges for you to go on a tour to the places of tourist interest in Agra, Uttar Pradesh, India. This tour includes a trip to the Taj Mahal, the Agra Fort and Itmad-Ud-Daula's tomb. You may go shopping after you are done with your sightseeing tour or else you are free to spend your time relaxing. In the late evening the hotel arranges for a special musical night for your entertainment. While you listen to traditional folk songs, colorfully attired hotel staff serves you the most delectable traditional Indian cuisine on silver utensils.

On the morning of the 4th day the India tourist
and tour guide organizes a special tour to the Taj Mahal. This tomb built of pure white marble is special as it was constructed by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan to prove his undying love and affection for his dearest wife Mumtaz Mahal. The intricate and exquisite inlay work done with semi-precious and precious stones on the walls of the Taj Mahal is indicative of the splendor, riches, glory and above all the artistic acumen of the artisans of the Mughal period.
During the evening the tour package includes a trip to a 'Village Theme Fair'. This fair is attractive as the setting is created in such a fashion as to give you the feeling as though you are in a traditional Indian village. There are bamboo huts, stalls and benches, you can watch artisans at work such as puppet making and doll making, pottery painting and other handicrafts. You are entertained in a traditional fashion with monkey shows, snake charmers and a performance by dummy horse dancers. After an exciting tour you come back to the hotel and stay there overnight.
The Maharaja Retreat Tour - Day 05
On the morning of the 5th day you continue your tour to Jaipur. En-route you visit the old and deserted Mughal township of Fatehpur Sikri. Once you reach Jaipur, the India tourist and tour guide helps you check in to the hotel. You are given a royal welcome at the hotel with a strikingly beautiful group of decorated elephants and camels. Local Rajasthani women anoint your forehead with the traditional vermilion and warmly welcome you with garlands of marigold. You relax for the rest of the day and stay overnight at the hotel.

On the 6th day the tour package includes a tour to the tourist destinations in Jaipur, India. You visit places of tourist interest such as the Amber Fort that is located on top of a hill that overlooks a Lake. A huge wall surrounds this massive fort. You reach the fort on elephant back. You also go on tours to the Hawa Mahal, Nawab Sahab Ki Haveli, Royal Observatory and the City Palace. In the evening the India tourist and tour guide arranges for you to visit a traditional Rajput wedding. You can choose from an array of traditional dishes that are spread out in a buffet for your dinner. You stay overnight at the hotel.
The Maharaja Retreat Tour - Day 07
After your breakfast on the morning of the 7th day the tour package includes a tour to Samode, Rajasthan, India. Once you reach the Samode village you are given a warm welcome by colorfully decorated camels. You are taken to your hotel on horse carts to give you the feel of the traditional way of life in a Rajasthani village. Once you reach the Samode Palace heritage hotel you are received with garlands of marigold with local musicians playing folk music. Then you relax for a while and join a special Cocktail party arranged at the lovely Sheesh Mahal. You also get an opportunity to watch a special cultural program arranged for you at the Durbar hall of the Samode Palace. You are served dinner while you watch local folk dancers and musicians performing folk numbers for you. You stay overnight at the hotel.
The Maharaja Retreat Tour - Day 08
On the morning of the 8th day you are free to spend the day at leisure. You can enjoy a camel ride and go on an excursion to the nearby Samode village and interact with the local people and acquaint yourself with their way of life. In the afternoon the tour package includes a tour to Mandawa, Rajasthan, India. The India tourist and tour guide helps you check in at the hotel. You enjoy the evening around a campfire and enjoy performances by local folk musicians. You stay overnight at the hotel.
The Maharaja Retreat Tour - Day 09
On the morning of the 9th day the India tourist and tour guide takes you on a tour to the ancient and rustic havelis of Mandawa. Most of these havelis or mansions have colorfully decorated walls with murals and frescoes. Most of these havelis have been constructed in a unique architectural style with a courtyard in the center and rooms surrounding this courtyard. After your tour you drive back to Delhi, India and check in to the hotel.
The Maharaja Retreat Tour - Day 10
On the 10th day the tour package includes a short tour of the ancient monuments in Old Delhi and then the India tourist and tour guide arranges for you to be driven to a farmhouse for a farewell party after which you are driven to the International Airport in Delhi, India for your flight home.
